How do you usually spend your New Year’s Eve?
More or less we celebrate it the same way, I guess!
But let me just share you how my family spends it.
The whole day of december 31st is devoted to the preparation of the "Media Noche". This year we prepared a variety of dishes. Well, actually, every New Year we prepare lots of food on our table so the whole year through will be abundant of food to eat. And only tantamount during Christmas.
This New Year we prepared Crispy Pata, the traditional Hamon de Bola, my favorite Embotido, Macaroni in Italian Sauce garnished with mushroom and tuna flakes, Maja, the delectable Mango Float, the colorful Broken Cathedral, Crabstick Salad, fried Crabstick, Hotdog Cocktail with marshmallows and cheese and Cooked Ham Cocktail with pineapple tidbits and cheese, French Fries in mayo dip. Plus, candies and chocolates….. you know M&Ms, Kisses, etc. Oh, mama Linda also gave us Ube Haleya and Biko.
10 minutes before the 12 midnight we start preparing ourselves and our dinner table. We put all the food on the dinner table, we wear red shirts and rounded accessories, blew party trumpets, displayed some fireworks and made a whole lot of nice.
After that, we dined and had innumerable confabulation. Some are sensical ones others are plain inane conversations. And that’s how we celebrate the New Year’s Eve.
